Make Way for the 75th Annual Golden Globes

Celebrating its 75th year the Golden Globe Awards are set to happen this Sunday the 7th of January, 2018. The Hollywood extravaganza is expected to be full of glitz and glam and the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California is going to be packed wall to wall with celebrities.

Out of the several nominees, the nomination of the HBO original show, Game Of Thrones is sure to keep audiences glued. The original series has been nominated for ‘Best Television Series’ (Drama division) and there is a good chance that it might sweep this title up!

Golden Globe Awards 2018:

Setting 2018 to a splendid start this weekend, the Golden Globes will be aired live on NBC at 8 PM ET. The prestigious and eye-catching Red Carpet arrivals start at 7 PM with the show having a total run time of about 3 hours.

Seth Meyers will be taking over as this year’s host from Jimmy Fallon and while there are sure to be some inside gags from his shows, he’s a solid choice that has a significant amount of talent. Joining Seth are Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Penelope Cruz, Gal Gadot, Chris Hemsworth, Emma Watson and many others.

How and Where to watch the Golden Globe Awards of 2018:

Being the annual and official broadcaster, NBC will be airing the gala event live this year as well. However, the streaming rights of the Golden Globe Awards belong only to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. NBC, however, uses geolocation with all of its broadcasts so if you are not in the USA you might be out of luck trying to view the Globes.

Or you could consider a VPN. VPNs are able to bypass georestrictions and this is one of their major uses! You see, a VPN creates a virtual tunnel from your location to the local server and not only does it encrypt the traffic, hiding what you are viewing, it also masks your IP so that it seems you are connecting directly.

Whenever I recommend VPNs, I recommend Surfshark to our readers. I’ve arranged an EXCLUSIVE deal with Surfshark to give our readers 82% discount. Just click on this link.

Surfshark is a really powerful VPN and has servers all around the world ensuring that regardless of what you want to watch, you’ll be able to find a fast local server that will meet your needs.

Watching the Globes

Once you’ve setup the VPN you simply need to login to the event live on the NBC website (https://www.nbc.com/live). In addition, the Red Carpet ceremony is accessible directly from Facebook so you can also watch it there too!

With the amazing festivities upon us, get ready to start off 2018 with a bang and don’t miss the 75th Golden Globe Awards wherever you are!
